Job Description

We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Knitting Technician to join a leading Company located in the Stearns, KY surrounding area.

Responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, adjusting, and maintaining industrial warp-knitting machines used to produce specialized fabrics. The technician will work closely with production and quality teams to keep equipment running efficiently, minimize downtime, maintain fabric quality, and help operators successfully run the equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and adjust industrial warp-knitting machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical and process-related issues that cause production downtime
• Work with KARL MAYER knitting equipment
• Work with Tricot and/or Raschel knitting processes
• Adjust knitting parameters according to job sheets and fabric specifications
• Perform preventive maintenance on knitting equipment
• Perform machine adjustments and minor repairs
• Change pattern wheels, timing belts, and other machine components
• Assist with beam changes
• Identify and correct fabric defects and machine problems
• Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to improve quality and efficiency
• Help minimize machine downtime and production interruptions
• Assist with machine setup for new products or fabric specifications
• Train and support knitting machine operators
• Reinforce safety, quality, and good manufacturing practices
• Maintain production and equipment records

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• Strong hands-on experience with industrial warp knitting
• Experience with KARL MAYER equipment is highly preferred
• Experience with Tricot and/or Raschel machines
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with machine setup and adjustments
• Preventive maintenance experience
• Experience working in a textile manufacturing environment
