Safe and efficient execution of Instrument Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance activities on the HKN Syria Block in Rmelan region of Syria. Provide support to plant commissioning teams. Coaching and mentoring junior staff. Remote site and camp-based position requiring the candidate to work 2 weeks on by 2 weeks off rotation.
Preparation of Instrument Maintenance work packs including job method statements and Risk Assessments. Execution of Instrument Preventive Maintenance Routines including routine instrument checks. Work alongside ICSS engineers for troubleshooting of instruments and control/safety systems. Execution of Instrument Corrective Maintenance tasks including calibration and testing of process instrumentation and fire & gas detection systems; diagnosing and rectifying faults to maximise equipment availability; identifying required spares and initiating orders for replacements. Monitoring and controlling works by vendors/contractors within his/her remit.
Proven and recognised qualification of academic study – Technical Diploma/Degree in Instrument/Electronics Engineering.
Minimum five years' experience as an Instrument Maintenance Technician on an oil production facility. Experience using Safe Systems of Work – PTW, Risk Assessment, Isolations. A functional understanding and demonstrable experience of instrument maintenance activities on an Oil and Gas Production Facility. Ability to read and interpret documentation such as P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, cause and effect matrix. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook. Fluent in Kurdish (reading and writing). Fluent in English (reading and writing).
